A Rak from Tracy
I was going to post this earlier but ran out of time before work, then just didn’t get a chance at work – patients can be quite impatient at times!! lol
Anyway isn’t this card stunning!! I received it today in the post from Tracy, a very talented demo in Hawera. It was a lovely surprise and best of all she’s used one of my favourite stamp sets AND it’s got glitter!
This next card I made before my Stamp Class the other night. We had a great time, I haven’t laughed that much in a long time. I’ll show you what we made in the next day or so. But til then here’s this one. It was CASEd from a card originally designed by Amber Hight one of the SBS10 sistahs. And guess which stamp set I used!!
Stamps – Bodacious Bouquet (of course!)
Ink – Old Olive, Really Rust
Cardstock – Soft Sky, Old Olive, Whisper White
DSP – Fall Flowers
Accessories – White Grosgrain (dyed Really Rust), 13/8 Circle Punch, Slit Punch, Dimensionals
Anyway that’s all for now, it’s gone midnight and the girls will be up early in the morning. I can’t wait til Bella learns to sleep in!!
Hope you all have a good night sleep. Nite..

Fall Flowers
For those who left comments on my ‘Workshop’ post, your bookmarks are on their way.
I love this DSP, OK, I love pretty much all of SU’s DSP – I quite like this years price as well. lol. SU dsp makes it easy to pull colours together, it’s that whole co-ordination thing again. The card I made is cased from some talented person on Splitcoast but sorry I can’t remember who. It’s one of those cards saved to my desk top – which I think has doubled in quantity since my last post. (Ok I’ve just checked and I’m up to 81 cards on my desktop).
I just switch colours to match the DSP and kept everything else including using the rock & roll technique for the flowers.
Stamps – Bodacious Bouquet
Ink – Groovy Guava, Really Rust
Cardstock – Sahara Sand, Really Rust, Whisper White
DSP – Fall Flowers
Accessories – White Grosgrain, Vintage Brads, Mat Pack, Dimensionals.
The Rock & Roll Technique is super simple. And a great way to achieve two tones on your stamped images.
First, ink your stamp which a light colour (for this card that was Groovy Guava)
Second, roll the edge of the stamp in the darker ink (Really Rust)
Stamp your image – make sure you clean your stamp before re-inking for the next image, and always ink with the lighter colour first, otherwise you’ll ruin your ink pad.

….and the rest
Ok finally some peace and quiet.
This is another CASE originally designed by Clare Daly. I just loved the colours she used, the More Mustard works so well with Purely Pomegranate, would never have thought to put those colours together.
Stamps – Boho Backgrounds, Lots of Thoughts.
Ink – More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, Purely Pomegranate.
Cardstock – More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, Purely Pomegranate.
Accessories – Chocolate Chip Wide Grosgrain (love this stuff!!!), Scallop Punch, 1 1/4 Circle Punch, 1 3/8 Circle Punch, Corner Rounder Punch, SAMJ.
This card is quite different. It measures 12x12cm. And I used the Rock & Roll technique to colour the large flower.
Stamps – Itty Bitty Backgrounds, Bodacious Bouquet.
Ink – Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Certainly Celery
Cardstock – Perfect Plum, Whisper White
Accessories – Slit Punch, Dimensionals, 1/8 Circle Punch
And lastly, I know you’ve all been waiting for it…………….
The Spring Mini!!!
Sorry – now that I’ve teased you with the picture, you can’t actually order anything from this catalogue until 1st August. But I promise you it’s worth the wait. There are some absolutely gorgeous stamps sets and more rub-ons and ribbon and punches and DSP ….. and my wish list has just doubled.

A Lovely Afternoon
I’m getting through those cards on my desktop. Here’s a few cards that I managed to do this afternoon while watching Gray’s Anatomy and Bella was having her quiet time – what could be better than that??? That’s over now, Sponge Bob Square Pants has now taken over the TV and Bella is pushing the dining room chairs around the lounge. Hmmm life as a mum…
The first are two that I CASEd off the talented Claire Daly, I love her stuff. I just changed the DSP and colours to match. I made two cards one using Spring Fling & the other using Brocade Background, the cards look completely different.
The next card is another really simple one from Stampin’ Kub. I used my markers to colour the tree and distress the vertical edge to give it some texture.
Stamps – Lovely As A Tree
Ink – Glorious Green, Chocolate Chip & Old Olive markers
Cardstock – Not Quite Navy, Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Accessories – Chocolate Chip Wide Grosgrain, Stapler
And I said the other day how much I loved on of the cards we made at Stamp Club Monday night and I’ve made another already. One of our girls is leaving the ward for another area of the hospital so I’ve made her a card for everyone to sign.
Stamps – Bodacious Boquet
Ink – Rose Red, Bordering Blue, Versamark
Cardstock – Close to Cocoa, Whisper White, Rose Red
DSP – Prints DSP Rose Red
Accessories – White Grosgrain, Chalks (computer & printer used for sentiment)
So that makes it two down 58 to go… I’ll get back to it once dinners done, the girls are bathed, the dishes are washed, the laundry’s folded…..

For Baylee
I’ve just started a new project, an album for Baylee. I want to do a page of each year of her growing up, starting with newborn and 3 mths then one per year up. It shouldn’t be too bad, once I’ve caught up I only have to do one layout per year – I think I can manage that.
Here’s the first couple of layouts – it was nice going back through her baby photos and plunket book.
Stamp Sets – Riveting, Canvas (BG)
Ink – Basic Black, Pretty in Pink
Cardstock – Barely Banana, Pretty in Pink, Mellow Moss, Whisper White
Accessories – Cricut, Dimensionals, 1 1/4 Square Punch, Satin Ribbon, Safety Pins, Mat Pack, Paper Piercer
Stamp Sets – Bodacious Bouquet
Ink – Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue
Cardstock – Very Vanilla, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue
Accessories – Mat Pack, Paper Piercer, Dimensionals, Cricut, Gem Stickers

SBS10 Challenge #2
Every couple of weeks someone from SBS10 issues a challenge. This fortnight it was to do a Scrapbook Page without using DSP. I really enjoyed the challenge, I remember when I first started scrapping I didn’t use DSP a lot, it can be expensive but the SU DSP packs are really a lot more econimical and it’s great that they co-ordinate with the cardstock I already have. It just makes things so much easier – and for me, the easier the better!
Stamp Sets – Polka Dots & Paisley, Canvas BG, Bodacious Bouquet
Ink – Not Quite Navy, Ruby Red, Old Olive
Cardstock – Not Quite Navy, Ruby Red, Old Olive, Very Vanilla
Accessories – Chipboard Letter, Cream Grosgrain Ribbon, Hodgepodge, Staples, Dimensionals, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig

Bodacious AGAIN!
So you all must be getting tired of this stamp set but it’s my newest and I just love it. This time I’ve used the same layout but for a scrapbook page. I love how you can ‘bling’ it up with dazzling diamonds. Also because it’s solid it’s a good set for the ‘faux shaving cream’ technique and the ‘kissing’ technique.
I love how the page turned out and I think I figured out it must have cost me approx $2 to put together – try that using Scrap Book store products! his time I used colours from the Bold Brights Family. And I think since I’ve cut out soo many of these flowers lately I’ve gotten faster! Its 8 x 8, to go in my mum’s album, I really enjoy this size, it’s not too hard to try and fill the page but everything’s not crammed in either.
Ink -Gable Green, Pixie Pink, Lovely Lilac, Tempting Turquiose, Versamark
Cardstock – Whisper White, Pixie Pink
Accessories – Dazzling Diamonds, Clear EP, Dimensionals, Black Gel Pen, Gems

Bodacious 2…
Just a quick post today since I’ve had my nose stuck in my book most of the day (well not really a book but my new Idea & Catalogue Book!). I was even distracted enough that I burnt the potatoes for tea.
This is a repeat card, but I loved it soo much I had to make it again. This time I changed the colours around. And the best thing is Bodacious Bouquet is in the new catalogue. Yay! It’s one of my favourites at the moment.
All the colours are from the Earth Elements colour family. I just love how SU colours co-ordinate, it makes things so much easier.
Stamp Sets – Bodacious Bouquet
Ink – Cameo Coral, Ruby Red, Close to Cocoa, Old Olive, Versamark
Cardstock – Whisper White, Ruby Red
Accessories – Clear EP, Dazzling Diamonds, Dimensionals
The colours were inspired from Amber’s blog.

Bodacious
Tomorrow my friends daughter is getting baptised so I thought I’d make her a card and it had to be something special. I came across one on Splitcoast and have cased it completely (as usual I can’t give credit to the original designer – if it’s you please let me know). It’s also the first time I’ve used my new set Bodacious Bouquet, I’ve seen Michelle use it lots and I just love it. Soo glad it’s not retiring just yet.
Stamp Set – Bodacious Bouquet
Cardstock – Whisper White
Ink – Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turquoise, Rose Red, Mellow Moss, Versamark
Accessories – Dimensionals, Clear EP, Dazzling Diamonds, Heat Tool.

Stamp Club
Since I’ve been busy making swap cards which I can’t share yet, I thought I’d share the ones we made at Stamp Club today. Michelle my upline does a fantastic job designing/caseing cards and putting together lunch for us every month and it’s been a great way to learn new techniques, build up my stamp supplies and get to know a wonderful bunch of ladies.
This first one was a very cool coaster calender that was heaps of fun to make.
I love the Au Chocolat DSP I’ve got a pack, but it looks soo nice still uncut in it’s pack……
The second was a very quick and fun Sour Cream something or other, the best thing about it is it’s filled with chocolate pebbles!!! (By the way I’m trying to type this and Mumble our kitten is chasing my fingers around the keyboard!)
And lastly we put together these Criss Cross cards. If you haven’t made the most of SAB get in quick the promotion ends this month!!
And lastly – again – I just have to share this card Michelle gave me for my birthday. I love Bodacious Bouquet it’s next on my wish list! I love how she added the sparkle! Thanks for all your hard work at Stamp Club Michelle.
