Just a little story…

Posted in Uncategorized at 1:17 am by madebyme79

I just wanted to share a little story about what happened at work Sunday night (don’t worry no gory stuff).

One of my patients was an elderly gentleman who’s been in hospital a few weeks.  He was upset as his wife was in a resthome and couldn’t visit him because of a tummy bug going through the home.  I suggested to him that he write her a letter to cheer her up.  So I organised a pen, paper and envelope for him and he wrote his letter.  We posted it and he told me he wasn’t really sure at the time what to write.
Later that evening I was tiding the room and clearing away the paper and things he asked if I could leave it there so he could write to his wife again the next day.
I chatted with one of the girls from work today and this elderly gentleman has written to his wife every evening since.

Hi Everyone
I was just wondering if you could see my photos in their entirety? When I post them on my laptop at home they look fine, when I check them on the Apple they look fine. Them when I use the work computer some of them are cut in half.
Is it just the cheap, nasty hospital computer or is it happening for others as well?
Please let me know and I’ll change the sizes, thank you.

Santa’s coming to town…

Posted in Uncategorized at 1:30 am by madebyme79

You know those paper napkins that look soo lovely on the Christmas dinner table, that are almost too good to use?  Here is another decorative use for them.

Santa Canvas

On a canvas I’ve used 3×3 inches I modpodged it, separated the napkin layers and placed the single layer over the canvas.  Let it dry – doesn’t take too long, then gave it another coat of modpodge.

For the candle I again separated the layers, wrapped the single layer around the candle. Wrapped some non-stick baking paper around and heated it with a heat tool. The wax melts into the tissue paper but doesn’t stick to the baking paper.  Peel the baking paper off and you have a matching candle.

You can also create your own designed candles using stamps, by stamping onto plain tissues.

Not Just For Cards

Posted in Uncategorized at 12:04 am by madebyme79

Did you know with Stamping you are not limited to just cards.
You can use stamps for scrapbooking, using stazon ink you can stamp anything from paper to glass. It’s a great way to give something your own personal touch.
Above I’ve stamped candles, they’ve gone from plain to something a bit more special.
If you’d like to book a workshop and learn about how to stamp candle just drop me an email.
