SBS10 Colour Challenge

Posted in Baroque Motifs, SBS10 at 6:47 am by madebyme79

Yay it’s 6.30 pm and my washing is dried and put away, the dishes done and Bella bathed and tucked up in bed (yeah I know that’s early but she was awake at 5am and didn’t sleep this afternoon).  We bunked Church today and enjoyed some time at home, it was lovely to not have to be anywhere, we only left to get milk.  I got lots done in the garden, probably would’ve been more if I didn’t have to replant the bulbs Bella pulled out…  I also found some time to stamp…

Every couple of weeks one of the fantastic, talented girls from SBS10 sets a challenge.  This one was by Lastel, she challenged us to use her favourite colours, bright pink and black.

Baroque Motifs 01

When I saw Baroque Motifs in the new catalogue I loved it straight away, this is the first card I made with it.  You can’t tell from the photo but the swirls have been heat embossed with 1/2 & 1/2 dazzling diamonds and clear EP.  The little flowers are popped up.

This one uses another of the images Louise sent me.  I had heaps of fun water colouring her.  Once she was coloured I cut her out and popped her up on dimensionals.  Just love those water colour crayons!!!

SBS10 Challenge #2

Posted in Baylee, Bodacious Bouquet, Canvas (BG), Polka Dots and Paisley, SBS10, Scrapbook Pages at 9:28 am by madebyme79

Every couple of weeks someone from SBS10 issues a challenge.  This fortnight it was to do a Scrapbook Page without using DSP.  I really enjoyed the challenge, I remember when I first started scrapping I didn’t use DSP a lot, it can be expensive but the SU DSP packs are really a lot more econimical and it’s great that they co-ordinate with the cardstock I already have.  It just makes things so much easier – and for me, the easier the better!

SBS10 Challenge

Thanks Sara for the challenge of using ‘Emerging Colours’.  I’ve never used this technique before and had lots of fun giving it a go.  The stamp set I used is Birthday Whimsey, one of the Sale-A-Bration sets.  The birthday cake is covered with Dazzling Diamonds.  I’m still not 100% sure about this card, I feel like it’s missing something…

Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers- SBS10

Posted in SBS10 at 9:47 am by madebyme79

To the girls of SBS10 ‘Hi’.  I can’t wait to check out all your blogs and be inspired by your work.  I live in New Plymouth a moderate sized town/city? by New Zealand standards where we are blessed to be living under the shadow of Mount Taranaki and on the coast.  So we can surf and ski in the same day.  As well as stamping & scrapbooking & being a mum, I work at the local hospital in the surgical ward.  I look forward to ‘meeting’ you all.

For those who have no idea what SBS10 is all about  – a wonderful lady called Alana wanted to find some friends who also stamp and blog and started a thread at SCS.  It became a group the group got big and then bigger and now this group is number 10, with 20 people in each group.  We commit to browsing each other blogs and leaving comments – a great way to get to know people and to support and encourage each other.
